We designed, built and installed a custom exhibition stand for Pure Energy Music at Birmingham NEC.
We designed and built a high impact exhibition stand for Pure Energy Music at PerformX, held at the NEC Birmingham. The objective was to create a visually striking and highly interactive ‘chill out’ space that would attract fitness professionals and drive engagement with the brand’s music platform.
Working within a sub 10k budget, we delivered a fully custom stand that combined bold design, tactile experiences, and clear brand messaging.
Pure Energy Music needed a stand that would stand out in a busy exhibition environment while clearly communicating the benefits of its fitness focused music app. The space had to be inviting, interactive, and flexible enough to host conversations, demos, and engagement activities.
At the same time, the build had to remain cost efficient without compromising on visual impact or functionality.
We focused on creating an open and immersive environment that encouraged visitors to step inside and interact with the brand. The design used strong visual branding, bold colour blocking, and a combination of feature elements to create multiple touchpoints across the stand.
Key to the concept was balancing aesthetics with interaction, ensuring every element had a purpose in driving engagement or starting conversations.
The stand successfully combined comfort, interaction, and visibility. The bright green feature elements drew attention from across the hall, while the circular seating area created a natural focal point that encouraged visitors to stop and stay longer.
The Unlock the Box game added a layer of gamification, increasing dwell time and giving the team a simple way to engage attendees in a memorable way. Meanwhile, the totem screen allowed for clear and effective demonstrations of the platform in action.
When an exhibition stand is designed to be experienced rather than just seen, it changes how people engage with a brand. At PerformX, the Pure Energy Music stand did exactly that. Positioned within a high energy fitness environment, it immediately drew attention from gym operators, instructors and fitness professionals moving through the space. The bold green design cut through the visual noise of the hall, while the layout invited people to step in rather than pass by.
Once inside, the experience unfolded naturally. Visitors moved between touchpoints, from the custom seating area to the interactive game and demo stations. The Unlock the Box mechanic created a steady flow of engagement, with participants stopping, playing and sharing the moment with others nearby. At the same time, the screen led totem allowed the team to demonstrate the platform in action, turning curiosity into meaningful conversations. There was no need to force interaction. The environment encouraged it.
What made the stand particularly effective was its balance of energy and usability. The circular seating area created a moment of pause within a busy show, while the custom counter and open layout kept the space accessible and social. Across the day, the stand maintained consistent footfall, with attendees spending time exploring the product and engaging with the brand in a way that felt relevant to the fitness audience.
