Promo van for Clarins Lip Oil Balm.
We created a custom promo van for Clarins Lip Oil Balm. Fully wrapped in 3M printed vinyl, we set off for London in our beautiful vintage ice cream van. The plan was to park the promo van at pre-arranged spots outside media houses. Clients and employees from the media houses were then invited down for free samples and ice cream.
This particular promo vehicle was perfect for this sampling activation. With a side serving hatch and full branding opportunities all round it had a high visual impact. As the sliding window is on the passenger side it allows the team to pull up kerbside. The van also has a deep chest freezer to store plenty of samples (ice cream tubs in this case). It also has rack space for product sample storage and a full height roof so team members can stand up inside.
Contacted in advance by Clarins, the promo van carried samples of the new Lip Balm Oil and limited edition tubs of ice cream to the media houses. We booked the parking spaces directly outside the media house locations enabling the team to have reserved parking. This meant quick, easy, direct access to the buildings and the media contacts. On average we stayed for about 90 minutes at each media house:
London is a great place to use a promo vehicle. With high visibility and tens of thousands of commuters, workers and pedestrians on the streets every day it makes sense to use something mobile. Traditionally London can be a tricky place to navigate. But with some good solid planning (and use of reserved parking bays) it’s can be made pretty easy. There are plenty of sites in London where you can use a promo vehicle. They vary in size and cost but we have over 15 years of experience in researching and managing these sites.
